What is iCheckMail:
iCheckMail is a simple utlity allowing you to setup a custom interval (in minutes) for
automatic email check of the standard Mail app on your iPhone. There is a limit on
this feature imposed by Apple (probably to save on battery) to a few values, being
the lower available 15 minutes.
I'm a musician often needing to stay 'connected' wherever I am, and it's not rare
nowadays to be in a place with a WiFi spot nearby. I usually need to receive email
like text messages, and I feel 15 minutes interval is too much sometimes.
So I wrote this simple utility to allow me customizing the interval email check time
in a safe way, from time to time, without modifications to the original Preferences.
Using iCheckMail:
Load the app, wait a few seconds and you'll be asked to insert the email check interval
expressed in minutes. If you typed correctly a value you'll receive a confirmation dialog
and the app will exit soon after.
That's all!
To reset to manual check just insert a value of 0.
If you'll use again the standard Mail Preferences of your iPhone to set the interval,
it will overwrite the one configured by iCheckMail and you'll have to set it again.
If after a few seconds the white background of the app disappears don't worry it's
just normal, you'll see anyway the dialog asking to insert a check interval number
and the following confirmation dialog, after that the app will quit normally.
